Overall work on the 1.9 million-square-foot inpatient tower is 70% complete, while exterior work on the façade is nearly 85% complete. The largest single facilities project ever undertaken at Ohio State includes up to 820 beds in private-room settings, large windows to enhance patient experience, safety and training for the next generation of health care providers.

Construction on the 1.9 million-square-foot inpatient tower, scheduled to open in early 2026, is 60% complete. As crews work to finish the lantern glasswork along the top of the structure, the building is on track for an early 2026 opening. Nearly 1,100 workers are in and out of the building daily.
