Kristin Poldemann has been named one of the most influential leaders in Columbus as part of the Columbus Business First Power 100 list . Poldemann serves as senior director of projects for Ohio State's Facilities Design and Construction. In her role, she leads a $3.5 billion portfolio of “Time and Change” projects to build the campus of the future, catalyzing the achievement of Ohio State’s strategic plan and Framework 2.0 through state-of-the-art facilities for teaching, learning and research.

Located at the Hamilton Quarter mixed-use development along state Route 161, the estimated 250,000-square-foot facility will consist of a medical office building and an ambulatory surgery center, which houses surgery, endoscopy, physical therapy and rehabilitation, imaging, urgent care, retail pharmacy and sterilization operations, among others.
“It’s really a dynamic one-stop-shop for health and wellness care,” says Garth Dahdah, director of strategic growth and facility operations for ambulatory services for the OSUWMC.

Duct work, interior framing and plumbing all continue on the medical office building's second, third and fourth floors. Roofing materials are now on site, and that work should begin shortly. The Ambulatory Surgical Center continues with exterior framing and sheathing, installation of plumbing on the first floor and work on the HVAC penthouse.

To date, concrete has been poured for floors two through five of the medical office building space. Construction crews are preparing the first floor slab on grade and expect a concrete pour in late February. Columbus Business First reports that Ohio State has approved a $2.37 billion 5-year capital plan to support Framework 2.0 and the university's strategic plan. It is an historic number for Ohio State as the university delivers on major projects identified in the campus master plan.
