In the News: Faculty and Students Excited for Arts District
The Lantern provided an update on Arts District construction following a recent webinar hosted by the college. As reported, faculty members are excited for the project to bring in more of the public to experience artistic creations at the university and foster interdisciplinary learning among music, theater and media production students and faculty.
Included in the project are new facilities for the School of Music (Timashev Family Music Building) and Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts which will feature a home for the new Moving-Image Production program. The $161.6 million project includes both renovation and expansion to the School of Music building and construction of a new Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts building.
