Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Slideshow: Energy Advancement and Innovation Center

    Construction on a space for industry experts to collaborate on the next generation of smart energy systems, renewable energy and green mobility solutions is nearly 60% complete. The Energy Advancement and Innovation Center (EAIC) is on track for a building turnover in October 2023. The 66,000 square-foot building prioritizes passive and active strategies to reduce energy usage including the installation of a direct current (DC) microgrid and future plans to install photovoltaics/solar panels on the roof.

    Construction progress includes:

    • Installing drywall
    • Installing Mitsubishi Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology
    • Spraying on insulation
    • Installing electrical conduits throughout building
    • Wrapping up polycarbonate panel exterior

    The building is co-located next to the Interdisciplinary Research Facility at Carmenton, Ohio State’s innovation district.
