The James Outpatient Care is about 90% complete as crews continue their work on the 385,000 square foot cancer-focused facility. Crews are adding finishing touches to the first, second and third floors, preparing for building turnover in mid-April. The project includes outpatient operating rooms, interventional radiology rooms, extended recovery unit, pre-anesthesia center, a diagnostic imaging center, pharmacy, hematology clinic, genitourinary (GU) clinic, infusion and medical office and support spaces. The project also adds a 640-space James Outpatient Care parking garage.
Construction progress includes:
- Furnishing and deploying IT on floors one through three
- Installing below-ceiling finishes on upper floors
- Dropping in ceiling tile
- Installing flooring
- Preparing for lab equipment to be delivered and installed
- Putting finishing touches on proton gantries
The James Outpatient Care is located south of the Kenny and Carmack roads intersection in the Carmenton innovation district. The building joins the Pelotonia Research Center and the Energy Advancement and Innovation Center as the first three major projects envisioned for Carmenton.
