Construction on the Wexner Medical Center Inpatient Hospital is more than 95% complete as the large name sign has been installed on the 10th Ave. Garage Walkway.

“Seeing the name sign go up on the bridge was a powerful moment for everyone who has had a hand in this project,” said Ragan Fallang, Facilities Design and Construction executive project manager for the inpatient hospital. “It symbolizes how far we’ve come and how close we are to the finish line on opening this world-class facility.”

Floors 19 and 20 are being prepared to be turned over to the fit-up team to be cleaned and have furniture and equipment installed. Crews are working on the pavers on the terrace as the irrigation system for landscape work is installed.

    Construction progress includes:

    • Punch list items
    • Turning over floors 19 and 20
    • Signage made by UniPrint being installed
    • Finalizing stone perimeter on terrace

On track to open in early 2026, the 1.9 million-square-foot hospital is the largest single facilities project ever undertaken at Ohio State.
