Exciting developments are underway at the Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory’s Multispecies Animal Learning Center (MALC).

With blueprints transforming into reality, a beam signing was held on May 22. Key stakeholders from the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) gathered to celebrate the construction progress and honor the significance of the project, not only as an exciting addition to the university, but also as a resource for the wider community and generations of Buckeyes to come.

Several buildings are closed in as plumbing and rough-ins are continuing. Concrete is being poured in the poultry barn as overhead mechanical is being installed in the main building.

The $60 million project consists of an interconnected series of barns housing different species which include swine, equine, poultry and others. The facility includes an arena, wet labs, classrooms, storage areas and public viewing areas.
