The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Outpatient Care West Campus, located in the Innovation District, is almost 40% complete. The 385,000-square-foot cancer-focused facility will include central Ohio’s first proton therapy treatment facility in partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
Construction began in summer 2020, and recent progress highlights include:
- Overhead plumbing and inwall electrical installation on level two is ongoing, while walls are being framed and topped out with drywall.
- Sprinkler mains are being installed and structural steel fireproofing continues on level four.
- Support beams called girders are being placed throughout multiple levels of the structure and future treatment rooms are undergoing painting.
- Work on the top floor of the 640-space parking garage is nearing structural completion.
