Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Solar panels installed at the Energy Advancement and Innovation Center

Crews worked to install solar panels on the canopy above the roof of the Energy Advancement and Innovation Center located at Carmenton, the university’s innovation district.

Four panels at a time were   ganged together with two C-channels at ground level, then lifted by the crane to attach them to the structure. The steel attachments are predrilled to a 7-degree slope. The panels are installed slightly skewed to the building access so that they point due south. Each one will produce an output of approximately 400-watts of electricity.
