Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

In the News: A Luminous Lab at Ohio State Models Renewable Energy Strategies

Architectural Record recently highlighted the 64,000-square-foot Energy Advancement and Innovation Center (EAIC). 

Brendan Flaherty, Facilities Design and Construction (FDC) project manager of the EAIC, said the team had initially considered making the EAIC net zero, but that a PV array to meet the project’s full demand would be “way, way too big.” By pivoting to a research facility that allows for the firsthand study of renewable-energy systems and DC microgrids, he says, “we can make advancements that will help thousands of buildings.”
