Construction on The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Outpatient Care Powell is nearly 30% complete. Currently, crews are working on interior metal framing, electrical, plumbing, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) on levels two and three. Crews are also working to install roofing to both the five-story medical office building and two-story ambulatory health center.

“This has been really fun because we’ve been able to take the lessons learned from Outpatient Care New Albany and Outpatient Care Dublin and we’ve applied them here at Outpatient Care Powell,” said Kristin Poldemann, associate vice president for Facilities Design and Construction (FDC) in a recent episode of the City of Ohio State podcast

    Construction progress includes:

    • Preparing for slab-on-grade pours
    • Duct work, plumbing, electric and wall framing continuing
    • Parking lot is complete and paved
    • Exterior walls going up

The $183 million project includes 200,000 square feet to provide convenient access to comprehensive healthcare services.
