Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Slideshow: Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center

    The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center is about 85% complete with Hamilton Hall Phase III construction. Anatomy Phase I opened in January 2022 and Classroom Phase II opened in June 2023. In total, the $157.3 million project includes a 120,000-square-foot renovation of Hamilton Hall and construction of a new 100,000-square-foot building featuring flexible facilities to serve multiple disciplines.

    Construction progress on Hamilton Hall Phase III includes:

    • Beginning landscaping and tree planting to the quad area.
    • Wrapping up installation of terrazzo flooring on the first floor of Hamilton Hall.
    • Framing walls and above ceiling work on the Gallery staircase in Hamilton Hall.
    • Awaiting asphalt and sidewalk completion on the Brain and Spine Extension.
    • Forum masonry has been completed.
    • Upper floor finishes are beginning to be installed.

    The project, poised for total completion in early 2024, will benefit colleges including medicine, dentistry, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, public health and veterinary medicine and strengthen the interdisciplinary curriculum of Ohio State.
