In the News: Outpatient Care Powell seeking construction approval

As reported by Columbus Business First, The Ohio State University Board of Trustees will vote on Thursday on a $165 million request for the bulk of construction costs and professional services. The $183 million project has completed design and is now ready to move to full construction as early as April, pending board approval. The target open date is August 2026, according to board materials.

The article notes  that the project includes a two-story health center and attached five-story medical office at 7171 Sawmill Pkwy., according to the proposal medical center trustees recently approved. Services will include physical therapy, endoscopy and advanced urgent care, an intermediate step between urgent and emergency.
