The Controlled Environment Agriculture Research Complex (CEARC), located on the grounds of the Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory, is 75% complete. The facility, the first of its kind in the United States, consists of a head house, a research greenhouse and a production greenhouse and will be a premier hub for research in the areas of horticulture and crop science, engineering and more.

Ohio State’s Controlled Environment Food Production Research Complex (CEFPRC) is almost halfway complete. The complex is divided into three areas: the production greenhouse, the research greenhouse and the headhouse. New renderings of the Controlled Environment Food Production Research Complex (CEFPRC) showcase the future home for interdisciplinary research connecting horticulture, engineering, entomology, pathology, food science, computer science, and human nutrition. The $35.8 million project is currently in the early stages of construction at the Waterman Agriculture and Natural Resources Laboratory.
