A vision comes to life as Newton Hall nears full completion of a 12,300 square-foot first floor renovation. Flexible classrooms, informal learning spaces and offices on the first floor were all included in the renovation that supports the College of Nursing. Also included in the facelift is the new Center for Well-being and Prevention at the College of Nursing, which offers health coaching with a gym, counseling and telehealth services.

Crews are sprucing up 12,300 square feet on the first floor that will include flexible classrooms, informal learning spaces, offices and the new Center for Well-being and Prevention at the College of Nursing. Jane E. Heminger Hall is open and hosting classes, as reported by The Lantern. Heminger Hall will be the fist WELL-cerftified building on campus, according to the report.
"To have an environment be as supportivie of health and well-being as our program here at the university just aligns sort of what we do and how we think or teach or practice or work with the spaces that we're in," Laurel Van Dromme, chief of strategic partnerships and special projects, told the outlet.

Jane E. Heminger Hall, Ohio State’s first WELL-certified building, is almost 70% complete and scheduled to open in August 2022. Heminger Hall” in recognition of Gary and Jane Heminger’s support for the college’s continued work in transforming the future of health. The new facility is scheduled to open in August 2022 with a first floor renovation of Newton Hall to open the following summer.
