Joe and Linda Chlapaty have made a $15 million commitment to Ohio State in the hopes of furthering research into atrial fibrillation, an irregular heartbeat that can lead to stroke, heart failure and other serious complications.
The Chlapatys’ investment will support space within the Interdisciplinary Research Facility, part of Ohio State’s new Innovation District on west campus.

In the News: Rezoning requested for Ohio State medical facilities in Dublin
According to This Week News, Dublin City Council is expected to vote on Monday, Nov. 4, for a rezoning ordinance for the construction of an Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center medical campus.
The ordinance would change about 34 acres from a research/office district zoning designation to planned-unit-development district.
