City of Ohio State Podcast Season 3 Episode 1: Campus Construction

As another outpatient care center gets approved for construction and new academic and research projects break ground, we kick off season 3 of the City of Ohio State Podcast with Kristin Poldemann, the associate vice president of Facilities Design and Construction to talk about current projects across campus. 

Buckeye View - Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center

The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center third and final phase is nearing completion as work concludes on the 120,000-square-foot renovation of Hamilton Hall. The project benefits colleges including medicine, dentistry, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, public health and veterinary medicine, and strengthens the interdisciplinary curriculum of Ohio State.

Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center Time Lapse

The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center is nearing the completion finish line as Hamilton Hall Phase III is scheduled to open in February 2024. Anatomy Phase I opened in January 2022 and Classroom Phase II opened in June 2023. Check out the time lapse video to view construction progress on the multiphase $157.3 million project.

The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center is about 85% complete with Hamilton Hall Phase III construction. Anatomy Phase I opened in January 2022 and Classroom Phase II opened in June 2023.

Phase 3 of construction on the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center is nearing 60% complete. This third and final phase includes a 120,000-square-foot renovation of Hamilton Hall, which is poised for completion in March 2024. The Classroom Wing, Phase 2, is on track for a move-in date of mid-July. The Anatomy Wing, Phase 1, opened in January 2022.
