Columbus Underground recently featured the Wexner Medical Center Inpatient Hospital project as part of its Hard Hat Tour series. According to the outlet, the project will be the 10th-tallest building in Columbus and the tallest outside of downtown.
Crews worked to install solar panels on the canopy above the roof of the Energy Advancement and Innovation Center located at Carmenton, the university’s innovation district.
Crews are in the home stretch of construction on the Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts building, the final step on completing the Arts District. Work is about 95% complete and is on track to open for programming by this Fall as tenants have already started moving in. Crews are finalizing theatrical finishes and completing punch lists.
From May 15 through late November 2023, the Olentangy Trail will be closed between Woody Hayes Drive and John Herrick Drive. Trail users will be rerouted along a marked detour east of Ohio Stadium, south through Buckeye Grove before crossing Herrick Drive, to Cannon Drive and 12th Avenue, prior to returning to the trail.
Construction on The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Inpatient Hospital is just over 50% complete. Nearly 1,000 workers are at the site daily as they construct the 1.9 million-square-foot hospital. The building features up to 820 beds in private-room settings to elevate patient-centered care, safety and training for the next generation of health care providers.
